Mike Goes Solo: Stand-Up Comedy, Country Music & Random Ramblings

Show Notes

On this special pop-up episode of Hey, Are You Still There?, Mike goes solo for a completely unscripted episode filled with random stories, movie reviews, stand-up comedy, and country music nostalgia!

Mike kicks things off by sharing details about a recent theft at his comic shop before diving into his review of The Breadwinner and his latest binge-watching obsession: the Friday the 13th horror movie franchise.

He also takes you behind the scenes of his recent comedy show with Taylor Vaden at the historic Palmetto Theater, talks about the journey of finding his comedic voice as a stand-up comedian, and explains why country music holds such a special place in his heart.

Then, it’s time for Mike’s personal Mount Rushmore of country music songs, including his pick for the greatest country song ever written. Agree or disagree? You’ll have to listen to find out!

Finally, Mike starts exploring the topic of church hurt and its impact on faith, but decides that’s a conversation best saved for when Beth is back.

Is there a point to this episode? Probably not. Is it entertaining? Absolutely!

Tune in for a little comedy, a little country music, some movie talk, and plenty of Mike’s signature random ramblings on this special solo episode of Hey, Are You Still There?
